The expansion of Mythical Island in Pokémon TCG Pocket brings 68 cards to the game, but some are considered better than others. While some new Pokémon and items debut in the game, others have new versions with different abilities and attacks. While players will be eager to complete the new set, many others will be looking for the best cards to battle with. You can speed up the number of new packs you can open by using the free goodies provided by the developers.

Since Pokémon TCG Pocket released, several meta decks emerged. This includes decks based on the Mewtwo ex, Pikachu ex, and Starmie ex cards, which have dominated the game thus far. However, the new Mythical Island set spices this up. New Game-changing abilities bring more fun to different types of Pokémon, while other items and support cards bring new elements to matches that need to be considered by players. Here are the top 10 new cards introduced in the Mythic Isle expansion that you should use in your decks.

Golem

Giving fighting Pokémon a chance

Fighting-type Pokémon haven't really served their purpose so far Pokémon TCG Pocketbut some new cards in Mythical Island make them viable. The new Golem card is a powerhouse in both offense and defense. Its 160 HP means it will be able to withstand at least one attack from almost any opposing Pokémon, while its own attack, Guard Press, can deal 120 damage. It also reduces the opponent's next attack by 30, meaning he can take control of battles if the Golem enters the active location at the right time.

Leaf is especially useful if you have an ex card in your active spot, but you can't allow it to be potentially KOed, as many of them have at least a two-retreat cost.

Of all the new additions in the Mythical Island expansion, Celebi ex is by far the strongest, and when set up correctly, it feels unstoppable. Its attack, Powerful Bloom, initially only costs two energy cards. Potentially dealing 100 damage depending on your coin toss luck.

However, with each additional card attached to Celebi, you get another coin toss. This means if you have four energy on it, it can potentially deal 200 damage in one hit. That would be enough to eliminate any Pokémon. Additionally, its 130 HP prevents it from being KO'd in one fell swoop, except against elite opposing Pokémon.

Serperior

The best energy supplier

Most of the Pokémon you want to include in your decks are attackers with powerful offensive moves. However, support cards can be crucial to have any chance of setting up these attackers. Step forward, Serperior. Although it is a stage two evolution, once evolved, Serperior can be used in any grass deck to overwhelm opposing teams. Your ability means that Any grass energy card attached to a grass Pokémon is worth double.

Therefore, Celebi ex would only need one energy card to attack, and with just two energy cards, it could do 200 damage. This also works for earlier powerhouses like Venusaur ex. It takes a few turns to prepare Serperior through evolutions, but once you do, you can almost guarantee victory.

New Mythical Island expansion gives players another reason to keep playing PokémonT CG Pocket, and you must strive to collect these ten cards that can make a difference in any deck.
