10 Best Hidden Marvel Easter Eggs

This article covers a developing story. Keep checking back with us as we will add more information as it becomes available.

Notice! This post contains SPOILERS for What If...? Season 3There are several Easter eggs and references in the Marvel films And if...? Season 3. Continuing to explore the "prism of infinite possibilities" This is the multiverse, several variants and fun references to the main MCU can be found throughout this final season of the animated series. That being said, some are more notable than others.

In the final season of the series, eight new stories are revealed, narrated and observed by Uatu, the Observer (Jeffery Wright). Likewise, Uatu finally has to answer to his fellow Watchers for all the times he broke his oath to never interfere, as seen in And if...? Finale of season 3. With that in mind, here are some of our favorite Easter eggs and MCU references in And if...? Season 3.

10

Blade as Moon Knight

Coming soon to 2025's Marvel Zombies

In And if...? Season 3, Episode 8, multiple variants are shown in one big montage to wrap up the entire series. This includes Mahershala Ali's Blade as a new Moon Knight, who has already been confirmed to appear in the 2025 animated film. Marvel Zombies series. Spin-off of And if...? In the Marvel Zombies Season 1 episode, it will be very exciting to not only see the narrative expanded with the upcoming miniseries, but also to see Ali's Blade on screen for the first time (even if it is in animation and a variant).

9

Kwai Jun-Fan

The 1872 Comic Book Iron Fist

In And if...? In Season 3, Episode 6, viewers see an alternate reality Wild West where Shang-Chi is known as The Ten Rings and is partnered with Kate Bishop's Hawkeye, an expert marksman on the hunt for a brutal crime lord who is kidnapping Chinese immigrants. During the chase, the pair encounter a boy named Kwai Jun-Fan, whose father was taken. In the original comics, Kuwait Jun-Fan is the Iron Fist of 1878, which is appropriate considering the episode is set in 1872. Bishop even mentions the boy's impressive "iron fists" at the end of the episode.

8

Kang's Time Sphere

What does this mean for Kang?

At the beginning of And if...? Season 3, Episode 7, Captain Carter arrives in Kang the Conqueror's Time Sphere. As such, one must ask what this might mean for Kang himself and the Council of Kangs that was formed at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Given Marvel Studios' significant pivot away from Kang the Conqueror in favor of Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. Avengers: Judgment Daypiloting the Time Sphere could be an implication that Captain Carter and her allies took care of Kang and his variants off-screen.

7

Natasha Lyonne as our

Preceding his secret role in FF

And if...? Season 3 Episodes 7 and 8 feature Natasha Lyonne voicing Byrdie the Duck, the adult daughter of Darcy Lewis and Howard the Duck (whose hatching was shown in And if...? Season 3, episode 4). Byrdie is an MCU role that certainly must have been made with Lyonne in mind, although it could only be her first. After all, Lyonne is tied to a secret role in Fantastic Four: Getting Started. While it's possible she'll play a live-action Byrdie, it's more likely she'll play a different role, like the robot HERBIE or Alicia Masters.

6

The debut of The Hood and his powers before Ironheart

(More or less, more or less)

The crime lord in And if...? Season 3 Episode 6 reveals The Hood aka Parker Robbins. A classic criminal from the comics, The Hood is expected to debut in live-action in 2025 Iron Heart played by Anthony Ramos, although the series itself was originally planned to be released in 2023, well before And if...? Season 3. Although it is revealed at the end of the episode that Robbins' Hood was killed off-screen and replaced by Shang-Chi's sister Xu Xialing, the Hood's transformation/teleportation powers and corruptive nature will likely be the same in action throughout the episode. live (regardless of user/host).

5

First Look at the MCU via Foosball

Invisible Woman, Doctor Doom, Galactus and more

Byrdie has his own foosball table aboard his ship, as seen in And if...? Season 3, Episode 7. However, all the players are various Marvel heroes and villains, even those who have not yet debuted in the main MCU. The full lineup of characters includes Thanos, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Red Skull, Kang, Hela, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Zemo, Mystique, Magneto, Rogue, Wolverine, She-Hulk, Captain America, Galactus, Loki, Doctor Doom, Invisible Woman, Iron Man, Beta Ray Bill and Infinity Ultron, who ends up becoming a key ally of Captain Carter and his allies in their mission to save Uatu from his companions Watchers.

4

Daredevil and Karen Page

Participating in the Grand Master's Banquet

In And if...? Season 3, Episode 4 The Grandmaster is just the first Marvel villain who wants Darcy and Howard's eggs for himself. However, the Grand Master was apparently the only one who wanted to eat the egg, rather than simply claiming it for its prophesied power. However, two of the guests at their feast are none other than Matt Murdock and Karen Page's Daredevil, both of whom can be seen briefly before all chaos breaks loose once the main course is revealed. Likewise, it's doubtful the pair knew what was on the menu before attending the dinner.

3

Scott Summers and Jean Gray

Enjoying Las Vegas at night

Just like Matt Murdock and Karen Page during the Grandmaster's dinner, another great Marvel couple makes a cameo And if...? Episode 3 of season 3. When Red Guardian and the Winter Soldier are fleeing from Bill Foster's Goliath in Las Vegas, the pair are shown leaping through the streets and over the heads of none other than Scott Summers' Cyclops and X-Men's Jean Gray. As such, it's simply another fun animated cameo from a mutant power couple who will soon make their live-action MCU debut in the coming years.

2

Uatu the Watcher Once Helped Madisynn (Seriously)

Of She-Hulk: Lawyer

As revealed in And if...? Season 3, Episode 8, all of Uatu's transgressions are exposed by his fellow Watchers. This includes well-known occasions where he broke his oath, such as Strange Supreme, Kwai Jun-Fan, and most notably Captain Carter. However, it was also revealed that he has also interfered in the past to help people like Reed Richards and Nick Fury.

That said, the most hilarious crime is revealing that The Watcher once broke his oath to only observe the multiverse for the sake of She-Hulk Madisynn ("with two n's and one Yes"). This is the same girl who got drunk and ended up in a fiery hellscape with demonic goats due to the negligence of the untrained wizard, Donny Blaze. Having been a prominent character in She-Hulk (who became friends with Wong), it's fun to see her suffer such a cosmic block here in And if...?'end of the series.

1

Astra Islands

From the original Hulk comics

Mech Avengers Astra Island What If Season 3 Episode 1

In And if...? In Season 3, Episode 1, it is revealed that this reality's Bruce Banner became a hermit after trying to remove the Hulk with more gamma radiation and instead created the monstrous Apex Hulk. Living in the Astra Islands, this is a subtle reference to the original comics as it is the same location where Banner built his Absorbatron, a device capable of absorbing the force of a complete nuclear explosion. This is quite appropriate, given that Banner was also working on ancient nuclear weapons in this premiere episode of And if...Season 3, although in this case it turns into a big gamma bomb to become a kaiju-sized Hulk to take on Apex.
