Tower of God is a captivating manhwa that won over an excellent anime adaptation. The story revolves around the 25th Bam, a boy who reaches the titular Tower before deciding to climb it alone. It’s a story full of twists and turns at every corner. Although Bam finds a great group of friends to climb the Tower, it’s not that easy. There are many who want to see an Irregular like him dead and are willing to do whatever it takes to eliminate him.
The first season of Tower of God presents the series before Tower of God the second season takes the story further. Bam becomes Jue Viole Grace in season two, a Slayer candidate for FUG and an entirely deadly character. He is one of the strongest in the entire series and fights against several people to prove it. Whether Viole is fighting all of Team Sweet and Sour at once, or Khun is taking down an assassin, Tower of God There are excellent fights.

Khun vs. Killer Snake
The snake killer let his guard down
Khun Aguero Agnis is an incredibly intelligent character. He is the son of Khun Eduan, one of the heads of the Ten Great Families. Since leaving his family, he decided to climb the Tower alone. He finds a group of great friends to climb the Tower, but loses Bam at the end of the first season. When he thinks Bam might still be alive at the end of season two, he goes after him. They track down the Right-Arm Devil in Arlen’s Hand and go to investigate.
Khun is caught in a trap. He agrees, letting his opponent’s guard down. His opponent then goes for an easy kill before Khun reveals his trick and finishes him off. It’s a great, quick fight in the series. Khun may not be a frontline fighter like Ran or Nozick, but he is not a pushover who can be killed easily.

Anaak against everyone
The princess of Jahad is a one-man army
The first season of Tower of God it had unique animation and a great art style that set it apart from other anime shows airing at the time. While Tower of God Season 2’s art style is a huge downgrade, the first one was able to get the most out of every fight. Anaak Jahad’s fight in Crown Game is a great example of the top-notch animation presented by the first season. The Crown Game is one of the best fights in the seriesand Anaak is at the tip of the spear.
Anaak tells Hatz and Shibisu to stay back so she can take care of everyone herself. She then performs three quick attacks using the Green April, one of 13 Month’s series of weapons. It’s an incredible demonstration of Anaak’s power as she becomes one of the strongest characters in the series later on.

Entrance exam
A free fight for all
The second floor of the Tower was Evankhell’s. She wanted to eliminate as many participants as possible, reducing the number of participants from 400 to 200. It’s an insane time, as Bam sees violence all around him. He is attacked by a swordsman, who dies to an archer, who is shot by a sniper. Bam is basically a pacifist at this point in the series and spends most of the test running away from everyone who tries to attack him.
He wins a fight against Rak Wraithraiser refusing to fight outright. When Rak refuses to join a team with Khun and Bam so everyone can pass the test, Bam throws his Dark March to the ground before telling Rak to attack him. It’s a tactic that works perfectly, as Rak is only interested in fighting people with strong weapons. Bam and Khun then climb the giant crocodile, solidifying their bond as a team and passing the test on the Second Floor.

Ran and Nozick vs.
The devil’s right hand
The second season of Tower of God saw Bam join a new team, Team Sweet and Sour, while Khun began searching for him. Their paths finally crossed again at Arlen’s Hand, where Bam went to find Torasuke and Khun took Ran and Nozick to find Cassano. Torasuke, Ran, and Nozick are the first three to meet at the Hand. Ran and Nozick see Torasuke and correctly assume, technically, that he is the devil’s right hand and attack him.
Torasuke does a great job of holding two people apart while defending himself. He activates his Devil powers to drastically increase his speed and strength, keeping Ran and Nozick at bay until Cassano appears. It’s a great fight that shows off many of the powers that Bam and Khun’s new friends possess. It also shows the funny back and forth that Ran and Nozick always seem to have.

Bam against everyone
Jue Viole Grace is a threat
Bam is pushed to his death in the first season finale of Tower of God and was found by FUG. They are a notorious criminal syndicate that wants to take down Jahad and the Ten Great Families as well. They tell Bam that if he wants answers and to see his friends again, he will go with them. Bam then spends the next five years of his life training with the FUG, becoming Jue Viole Grace in the process. Your alter ego is for your own protection, and gives a name to his most brutal side.
Viole decides it would be quicker to eliminate her potential teammates than to work with them. He fights Wangnan, Akraptor and Torasuke at the same time. Bam couldn’t have been a sweeter character in the show’s first season, making his transformation into the lethal Viole shocking. He even tries to assassinate Wangnan and it is only interrupted by the test timer.

Bam x Mazino
Bam against one of the strongest in the Tower
As Bam begins the second season of Tower of God like the cruel Jue Viole Grace, he eventually comes to his senses. Sure, he became a weapon shaped by FUG, but that doesn’t mean he’s not Bam. He and the rest of Team Sweet and Sour encounter Urek Mazino inside Zygaena while climbing the Tower. Urek says he will spare their lives if they leave, but if Bam fails the test, his friends will be hurt. Bam then faces one of the strongest fighters in the world. Tower of God without a moment’s hesitation.
It’s a quick fight, as the two only attack each other before Urek leaves. Bam also saves Miseng in the middle of the fight, sacrificing his body to protect her. It’s a great moment that confirms Bam is still there, beneath all of Viole’s coldness.

Anaak vs.
Rivals who became allies
Anaak and Endorsi are two princesses of Jahad, but they received completely different treatments throughout their lives. Endorsi was celebrated and respected, while Anaak was cast aside as a nuisance. Anaak’s mother fled the Princesses of Jahad with her lover, having Anaak. Endorsi spends the fight taunting Anaak. She mentions her mother in an attempt to shake Anaak and it works.
The fight that followed may be one of the most personal in the series. Endorsi ends the fight by saying that Anaak has never been through anything that couldn’t be further from the truth. The duo ends up reaching their limits, losing the fight, but gaining new respect for each other. Their fight is a good example of why the first season of Tower of God it was so good. The animation is refreshing, the fight is intense and everything ends with lots of laughs.

Bam activates the Black March
The Black March chose Bam
Bam was chosen by the Black March during the first episode of Tower of God. He needed help defeating the White Steel Eel to pass the first test. When he called for the Black March, it responded, much to Yuri Jahad’s surprise. He fired a beam of powerful Shinisu at the White Steel Eel, pressing it against the cage it previously dominated. When the gun asks Bam why he wants to climb the Tower, he says no.
Bam just wants to see Rachel again. It’s a great moment that proves how humble Bam is. He’s not looking for the same strength as everyone else, instead he just wants to see his friend. Black March is one of the 13 month weapon series and one of the strongest in Tower of God. If Bam was chosen the second he entered the Tower, he’ll probably have a lot more good things coming his way.
2
Yuri x Yuga
Yuri Ha Zahad is not someone to mess with
Yuri vs. Yuga is an interesting fight because Yuri doesn’t really fight. She is not allowed to fight anyone who works for the Jahad Empire unless she has permission from the king himself. Yuga is actually Lo Po Bia Ren, a high-ranking member of the prestigious Lo Po Bia family sent to the lower floors to kill Anaak Jahad and steal back the Black March and Green April. When he encounters Yuri Zahad and Kurudan, he’s in for a world of trouble.
His bloodlust cannot be avoided when he attacks Yuri. Yuri negates his powerful attack without trying and sends Kurudan to clean up his mess. Kurudan destroys Yuga with a single attack. While Ren was only using a body clone, the fight also showed Yuri’s patience with her fellow princesses and impatience with anyone who wants to go against her.

The crown game
Everyone’s strengths on display
The Crown Game consists of several fights in one in the first season of Tower of God. Bam, Khun, and Rak are all together in a group, watching most of the events unfold before starting their turn. Hatz and Shibisu are more than ready to face all the people seeking their Crown. Hatz uses his swords skillfully to take down two opponents at once, while Shibisu has a great exchange with a female competitor.
The game of crowns is Tower of God at its best. It’s an arc that showcases the best art and animation the series has to offer, as well as a lot of great jokes. When Bam and Khun take the stage with Rak Khun finally uses his briefcase that he carries everywhere to outsmart the competition and almost win the game completely.
