New images from The Chicago Fire season 13 revealed a closer look at the team replacing Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), teasing what to expect in the upcoming episodes. It was previously confirmed that Boden would no longer be the Chief of Firehouse 51 going in The Chicago Fire season 13, appointed Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department at the end of season 12. Entering as the new Chief of the team, now, will be Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) an experienced firefighter from Miami who is described as a happy and active leader. well in stressful situations.
Now, two images appear Entertainment Weekly closely revealing Chief Pascal in The Chicago Fire season 13 before the start of his screen. The photo shows him rescuing someone after what appears to be a massive explosion in a building. Another photo also shows regular members of the team responding to something with two fire trucks on the road. Check out the new photos from the show below:

He will be getting a lot of attention in his first season
Pascal leading a person to safety after an explosion shows the compassionate leader that has been described as leading to his upcoming first appearance. While he was going to replace Boden The Chicago Fire move forward, it is clear from his character that he will be very different from the father-like leader of Firehouse 51. In addition to his new position as Chief, the firefighter will deal with marital issues as his wife Monica (KaDee Strickland) also enters the picture. With a meaty story being teased, it looks like he'll have a lot on his plate as he joins the team.
But, even if his arrival is welcomed, it will be a difficult transition for many of the characters present. This includes Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg)who was told to take care of the Firehouse 51 team by Boden before he left. Fortunately, the former leader will still be seen playing a recurring role this season, meaning any grievances the team has with their new leader could be quickly put to rest with their former mentor. As Pascal becomes the new Head, it seems The Chicago Fire expanding into new areas for the cast.

You Make a Good First Impression
Although Boden's role will be different in this series going forward, Pascal's willingness to step forward to save people shows his dedication to his job. While his arrival will create new dynamics in The Chicago Fire the team will have to adapt, he seems to be fitting in well in his new role. While it won't be clear how much he'll commit to until the first episode, this latest photo looks like a promising new start for him, and Firehouse 51.
