The first footage for Chicago Fire season 11 teases Severide and Kidd’s honeymoon intruder following the season 10 finale cliffhanger.
Chicago Fire season 11’s first official footage reveals Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd’s honeymoon intruder. Along with the rest of the One Chicago franchise, the first responder procedural is due to return in the second half of September with new episodes. It doesn’t seem like it’s waiting any longer to tackle the fallout from Chicago Fire season 10 finale’s cliffhanger, however, which saw Severide and Kidd starting their new life as a married couple.
Thanks to a string of behind-the-scenes content, it has already been revealed that both Kidd and Severide will be safe in Chicago Fire season 11. Images of the pair getting back to work in Firehouse 51 confirm that they will come out of their interrupted honeymoon unscathed. Still, there are lingering questions about what really happened after the mysterious SUV pulled up in front of their romantic cabin at the end of Chicago Fire season 10. Thanks to a brand-new marketing clip, fans won’t have to wait long to learn who the newlyweds will be going up against on what’s supposed to be the best night of their life.
Included in the new One Chicago trailer is the first official look at Chicago Fire season 11, which primarily focuses on Severide and Kidd. The video shows the pair spending some romantic time together when two men try to open the door of their cabin. Kidd hears it first and alerts her husband. Upon checking out the window, Severide realizes they are not alone. Watch the video below:
Prior to the premiere of the aforementioned clip, NBC released the official synopsis for Chicago Fire season 11 premiere, titled “Hold On Tight.” According to the brief, the outing will see Kidd and Severide’s honeymoon interrupted by someone from the pair’s past. It’s uncertain who exactly this will be, but based on the trailer, the two men trying to forcibly open their door will be likely hired goons. This means that whoever is behind this whole operation may be watching from the SUV or waiting for their men to barge into the cabin. It’s also possible that they are not there, saving their face-to-face with the new Mr. and Mrs. Severide for a later date.
Whatever this brewing issue is, it is such a bad way to kick off Severide and Kidd’s new life as a married couple. After going back-and-forth regarding tying the knot, this should be a peaceful time for the pair, as they take some time off from their duties over at Firehouse 51. Perhaps, they might even be considering having kids as the next evolution of their relationship. But knowing that there is someone out there who wants to hurt them would effectively dissuade them from doing this, and force them to focus on work instead in Chicago Fire season 11.
