Warlocks are the second most popular spellcasting class to play Baldur's Gate 3according to data released by Larian Studios, and it's not hard to see why. Despite only having three subclasses available in the game, warlocks are an incredibly versatile class that can work well BG3 multiclass build. Warlocks work differently than other magic users as well certain features in BG3 the will help bring out the best in these lovable characters.
What sets warlocks apart when you play them, compared to others BG3 spellcasters, their limited number of spell slots. Unlike witches, sorcerers, or clerics, who will have a fixed number of slots that increase each time they level up, warlocks will only have two slots for most of the gameuntil level 11, where they will get a third. This means that playing as a warlock is a bit of a strategy, but with the right features, any build that uses this versatile class will be good enough to take on the Absolute.

Actor – Expertise & Charisma
Improve Conversational Skills Assessment
Warlocks are one of four classes BG3 who use Charisma as their spellcasting ability. So, anything that gives this skill points a boost is always a good thing. Although it may seem like a bard feat, Actor is a good choice for warlocks, especially when playing solo as the face of the party and interacting with NPCs. This is because, again increasing the warlock's Charisma score by oneThe character is also very useful when it comes to dialogue testing.
The actor provides expertise in manipulation and performance testingmeaning any checks to them will double the skill bonus. This is very useful for those who want to blur the truth a bit while saving the world. It also allows other skills to be chosen for character creation instead of manipulation, and I find Arcana, History, or Investigation to be excellent options.

Weapon Master – New Weapon Options
Use Four New Weapon Types
One of the best things about warlocks is their versatility when it comes to gameplay, being able to fulfill the roles of both spellcaster and fightline fighter when needed. Weapon Master is a good choice for the latter, as opens up more weapon options for the melee-based warlock. Whether playing as Wyll, Dark Urge, or Tav, the warlock will be limited to light weapons, including knives, handaxes, and shortbows.
Weapon Master allows the warlock to choose four types of weapons to masteropening up so many options when it comes to equipment. Good choices would be shortswords, scimitars, or if not playing as Wyll, rapiers, which are all finesse weapons. Weapon Master also allows the warlock to increase either Strength or Dexterity, with Dexterity being the best option for the warlock.

Mobile – Increase Mobility
Ignore Difficult Areas and Avoid Attacks of Opportunity
Mobile is a great move for any class as it will have different benefits depending on the party role the character fills. First, The mobile increases the character's movement speed by 3 meters/10 feetwhich allows them to cover many areas of combat. After that, Mobile has two additional features that are useful for a warlock no matter how they are built.
For a character who is more focused on spells, Mobile: Evade Opportunity Attack will be a great help in escaping the attacks of criminals, which allowing them to leave without provoking an attack of opportunity after making a melee attack on that target. Melee-oriented warlocks will want to be able to move around the battlefield with ease and Mobile: Evade Difficult Terrain is perfect. With this passive feature, a warlock can ignore difficult terrain when using Dash, allowing them to reset easily.

Standard Weapons – New Weapon Options
Increased AC From New Weapons
In character creation, warlocks are good at light weapons, and although there are some great options BG3 for light armor, giving them the Moderately Armored feat is a good idea. As the name suggests, this feat grants the warlock ability for medium armor and shields. This not only opens up more combat options but gives the warlock some much needed protection when in the midst of battle.
Unlike other spellcasters, warlocks are more likely to align with the enemy and will benefit from the subsequent AC that path will give them. Armored is average as well increases the warlock's Strength or ability by each scoreand I recommend choosing Dexterity. This will help not only with rolls when using a finesse weapon, but also with other important rolls like the first step.

Lucky – Gain Advantage & Force Enemies to Reroll
Make the Most of Every Spell for Profit
With their limited spell slots, warlocks need to make every spell count and there's nothing worse than saving a spell for just the right time, only to miss. Lucky is a great job to avoid that frustration as it has great features that are useful both in and out of combat. With Lucky, the warlock will earn three Luck Points for a long rest, which can be used in several different ways.
First, the warlock can give themselves advantage on attacks, saving throws, or ability checks with Reroll with Advantage reaction. Luck Points can be used to make enemies reroll their attacks with the Reroll Attacker's Die reaction. Even better, none of these reactions use normal warlock reactions, like attacks of opportunity or Hell is Here
each turn you fight.

Spell Sniper – New Cantrip & Lowers Critical Threshold
Expand Warlock's Spell List and Increase Crit Chance
With their limited spell slots, warlocks rely on their cantrips more than other magic users, such as wizards, druids, or clerics. So doing something that gives them a new cantrip for free is an obvious choice. Spell Sniper does just that, with a warlock being able to learn one of six cantrips requires attack rollers.
The new cantrip will use the warlock's Charisma as its spellcasting ability, even if that spell is not normally available in the class.
Of the six cantrips available, Ray of Frost
it's a good choice, as it not only deals cold damage, adding variety to the warlock's repertoire but also reduces the target's speed in one turn. Spell Sniper also lowers the number required for one critical hitwhich accumulates with other factors or factors that reduce the limit. I The Elixir of Viciousness
it's a great way for all classes to drop this or that Duelist's privilege
the rapist of Wyll.

Ritual Caster – Learn two New Ritual Spells
Learn New Useful Spells That Don't Require Spell Slots
With only two slots to spell most of them BG3some of the best warlock spells are locked away until they are needed most. Ritual Caster is a great way to not only expand any warlock spell list but also have some nice utility spells they can use without taking up a precious spell slot. With Ritual Caster, a warlock they can learn two ritual spells from a list of six.
Most of the spells listed are already available for warlocks to learn through Eldritch Invocations, such as Talk to the Dead
, improve the jumpagain Hide yourself
. Ritual Caster provides the opportunity to gain those spells when choosing different requests or choose a new spell that the class wouldn't normally gain. The Longstrider
it's also available, and I've found it a great spell to cast across the group after each long rest to increase everyone's movement speed.
3
Long Lasting – Better Short Rest and Improve Constitution
Get the Best of Warlock's Main Feature
Like all spellcasters, warlocks tend to be on the squishier side when it comes to hit points, so any feat that helps with that is a good choice. Long lasting is good for warlocks as not only helps develop their individual Constitution but it also works well with an important aspect of their class. Because of this, Durable is the key to choose when playing in a party with multiple warlocks, such as when playing multiplayer with friends.
The main feature of Durable is that allowing the warlock to regain his full hit points every time he takes a short restinstead of the top half of their hit points. This works wonderfully with the warlock's Pact Magic, allowing them to regain all of their spell slots on a short rest, allowing them to fully regenerate twice on a long rest. This will change the way the party approaches short and long breaks, and make some of the longer dungeon areas easier to deal with.
2
Magic Initiate – Learn All New Cantrips & Spells
Expand the Warlock's Spell List with Help from Other Classes
Covering each of the six spellcasting classes, Magic Initiate is a group of actions that will open up a lot of options for the warlock. With one Magic Initiate selection, they will learn two cantrips and a first-level spell from another class's spell list. With this action, the warlock's options can really open up, depending on the role they play in the party.
Since any spells chosen with Magic Initiate will retain the first class spell ability, it makes sense to choose other Charisma-based classes like bard or paladin. Anyway, Magic Initiate too it provides an opportunity to learn spells well outside of the normal range of a warlock. Choice Heal Wounds
again Guidance
from the clergy list to the support role, while the bard's Cruel Satire
again Contradictory Rumors
provide new ways to cause damage.
1
War Caster – Advantage On Concentration Spell
Do More with Powerful Spells
War Caster is a great feat for any caster, but especially warlocks who have a ton of powerful spells that require concentration. First, and most importantly, War Caster provides a warlock advantage on all saving throws to maintain focus. This means that there is less chance of a powerful spell falling short after being cast and wasting precious spell space.
War Caster also gives the warlock the ability to use a cantrip He caught the Horror
as a reaction against enemies that move out of melee range. This will do prevent the target from using a single curve reactionand dealing decent lightning damage. It is important to remember that unless the warlock already has it shocking catch from another source to Baldur's Gate 3then they will be able to use it as part of the feat.
